The main theme of this garden is ‘whanau’. That’s why there’s a heart shaped pond in the heart of the garden. It obviously represents love and it’s a great view from the tree house in the Pohutukawa tree where children can play. Under the tree is a bench which can spin around and you can relax on it under the shade of the tree and there’s a tap there too. Children can also plant their own plants behind the vege garden on the left. There are tools at the end of every garden bench so you can plant more or take out plants. There is also a medicine garden at the bottom of the pond. Near the medicine garden is a bench where you can use the medicine plants. You can prepare the medicine in the pot next to the bench. The flowers near the pond is for the view and show. And lastly there is a compost mount behind the veges on the right for recycling and we put it behind the garden because it woudn’t fit with the other plants.

My Spelling Record.
This is my Spelling Record that I have been doing this Term we have been doing this all term and this is my record so far. We have 12 words to learn every week. I am really proud to get 12 out of 12 each week!
My Narrative Story
As I was waking up I could hear my mum shouting out! “Get up and feed the worms!”. When I started to wake up I was shivering with fear, when I started to get change I could still hear my mum moaning to me saying “Hurry up and come down”. I started to get changed so I could feed the worms that we had in our backyard. As I finally finished getting changed I tip-toed as quietly as I could down the dusty old stairs. When I got down the stairs my mum was standing in front of me I was feeling worried because I had took for ages to get down and feed the worms, when my mum had finished talking to me, I was relieved because she was giving me the freaks. When I was finished that, I went to get the scraps from in the laundry, when I went to go in and get it I could hear a noise coming from the worm farm. So I rushed out to see what was the noise, when I got outside I couldn’t believe my eyes there were centipedes all over the place. I screamed “AAAAHHH!” Mum there are centipedes all over the place.
BUT...
The centipede were having a war with the worms, it was so funny because you couldn’t really see them having war because they were so small that you couldn't even see them, . All the creatures were getting ready to fight because the centipedes took all the food that I have been giving them each day. When the war began to start I was covering my eyes because I was so scared that somebody was going to get hurt. I told them to stop twice but they couldn't hear me of course. My stomach had butterflies in it because I was getting a little sick because it was the most terrible thing that ever happen to me. The worms began to slither onto the centipedes legs it was so sticky when I went to put some more food scraps into the worm farm because I got stick all over my hand and it was so sticky that I couldn’t get of. My teeth began to chatter because I began to feel the wind come over me, I could here my mum’s voice coming from the house it sounded like she was cooking tea for us. So I went inside to have a shower and dinner.
Until...
When I went inside mum gave me a nice hot bath I began to think what were the centipedes and worms were doing, I was thinking that they were in the worm from having a sleep from the war that they had today. My mum was trying to wash of the sticky stuff that I had on my hands it eventually came off. When I was finished having a bath I went downstairs to have dinner, I was starving because I had a very long day today, we had meatballs and spaghetti for dinner it was so delicious. After dinner I was so tired so I had to go bed, my mum came and tuck me into bed and she said “Goodnight”. I began to shut my eyes and go to sleep.`

Day 3 Observation
Day 3 Observation...
Nothing has really changed to our flowers. I think it hasn’t changed because there was not enough colours to make it changed.
I wonder what will happen tomorrow...
Will it still be the same...
How will it look like...

Day one - Observation Term 3
Here is what the plant looked like when we keeped it in the classroom for 2 days. We were doing our observation and here is what I have written...
The petals and the stem changed colour. One side of the flower changed colour to a red and the other side changed to yellow! The food colouring travelling through the stem and went up to the petals!
I am wondering if the petals are going to be more colourful or they a going to be still the same colour.
What will happen if the water was dirty?
Will the flowers still be colourful?

What will happen if we keep it in for a week?
