Reflection about Aspiration and Inspiration

This term we were learning about Aspirations and Inspirations the main quote was “If it is to be, it begins with me.” We also talked about what our were aspirations in life. I wanted to be a flight attendant when I grow up because I love travelling the world and meeting new people. This term the positives were getting to meet new people that told us about their lives and sometimes inspiring us to achieve hard and never give up. This term was so awesome because I love hearing other peoples’ aspirations for life because I wanted to help them achieve their dreams.

The negative things this term was some people not trying their hardest in their learning so their dreams can come true. We didn’t get to meet other of our aspiration people so we couldn’t learn from them and try and do better next time. Some people were not taking their work to the next level and making their work boring.

Interesting things this term was people leaving us with quotes, this really helped me because they inspired me to try my hardest and never give up in learning, because if you do, your dream might not come true. We also learnt about each others dreams and how we can help each other out.

My Book Review

Title: Margaret Mahy Girl Outlaw

Author: Fiona Farrell

This book describes the life of Margaret Mahy

This person was born in March 21 1936 in Whakatane

Margaret Mahy published over 120 books, she has also translated these books in 15 different languages. This person is very important because she was one inspiring person that loved to entertain kids. I think she was amazing because she wrote inspiring stories that kids can read.

Two Interesting facts:

  1. She has been awarded all kinds of medals, including the prestigious Hans Christian Anderson Award.
  2. She entertained young kids , she used to dress up in funny clothes to make the kids feel happy.

I really love reading this book because she inspired me to read books, and when she was a child she never gives up and I am going to try my hardest to never give up too. I also love this book because I love the way she wrote books and read out to the kids.
