Should we change the NZ flag?
WALT - develop our own ideas using information from text.
I think we should keep our flag how it is because of all the war that happened, also all our soldiers that fought for us and died under our flag. People love this flag that we have right now and if we change it what are we going to be represent by just by a black silver fern, rubbish how about if our athletes go to the Olympics and wave a flag that has a silver fern on it. That won’t represent us at all, just by changing our flag to a fern representing our rugby team they not the only ones that live in our country. Also the koru patterns what does that have to do with our country that is like Maori patterns, our country is filled with different cultures so they need to feel welcome as well.

You have voiced your opinion very strongly here Hineuwera and explained the basis of your ideas. It is very evident that you have used other texts to help inform your position on the flag debate. Tino pai rawa atu, excellent work. Just make sure to read through your work before you publish and check punctuation, pauses in sentences require commas.
